Take a Course at MCC

You can take courses at MCC without pursuing a degree or certificate program. If you would like to take a course, follow the instructions below.

1. Meet with an advisor at the Center for Academic Planning and Support (CAPS).
2. Complete the placement test (ACCUPLACER) in reading, writing and mathematics, if advised by CAPS.
3. Make sure you meet any prerequisites for the course(s) you want to take. If you have not taken the prerequisite course(s) and believe that you can still succeed in the course(s), contact the Center for Academic Planning and Support (CAPS) to speak with a counselor about whether the prerequisite can be waived.
4. Complete the Registration Form , and drop it off at the Registrar’s Office.
5. To arrange your method of payment, discuss your options with the registrar or visit the Bursar’s Office.

Financial Aid:

Non-matriculating students are not eligible for financial aid.
